How to make Korean Braised Tofu at home

Addicted to K-dramas? Then you’ve got to try this Korean braised tofu. Super easy to make and super delicious too.

Ingredients:
1. 1 block firm tofu
2. 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
3. 1/3 cup water
4. 2 tbsp soy sauce
5. 2 tbsp minced spring onion
6. 1 tbsp gochujang
7. 1 ½ tsp gochugaru
8. 1 tsp minced garlic
9. salt to taste
10. 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
11. Sliced spring onion for garnish

Method
1. Cut the tofu into (¼ inch) thick rectangles
2. In a pan add the oil
3. Add the tofu and fry for 2-3 minutes, until lightly browned. Turn the tofu pieces over and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the other side is golden brown.
4. mix the water, soy sauce, spring onion, gochujang, gochugaru, garlic, and salt in a small bowl. Add this to the pan with the tofu. Turn the heat down to medium-low. Simmer and add the sauce over the tofu from time to time, until most of the liquid has been absorbed
5. Add tofu to a plate and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and spring onion. Serve hot......
