Hindu Kali Devi Chariot festival is a celebration of the goddess Kali, who is the destroyer of evil and the protector of the righteous. Kali is one of the most revered and feared deities in Hinduism, and her festival is a time to honor her power and grace.

The festival is also known as Ratha Yatra, which means chariot journey. It is a tradition that dates back to ancient times, when the three sibling gods Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra would visit their aunt’s temple in a grand procession. Jagannath is considered to be an incarnation of Vishnu, the supreme god of Hinduism, and Kali is his consort. Balabhadra and Subhadra are his brother and sister, respectively.
