Gun Control What is it Really?

The funny thing about stats… you can make them look any way you want to support whatever narrative is being pushed.

2A is heavily under siege now.

One stat I read is that guns are the leading cause of death in children.

Digging a little deeper..

2/3 of those are due to gang violence - 1/3 is suicide.

80% of all mass shootings involve pistols, not rifles. (Don’t see that on the news)

5x more people are killed by knives then rifles like the AR 15.

Most of all mass shootings happen in gun free zones. (No surprise there)

US has highest amount of guns but only 28th in gun murders.

Switzerland has 2 million guns owned private and their murder rate is nearly zero.

And an easy lesson in guns: AR doesn’t stand for Assault Rifle, it stands for Armalite, the first manufacturer of a tactical style rifle.

High volume magazines mean nothing.

Lawmakers only have ONE tool - make more laws, which the criminals don’t care about and only restrict law abiding citizens from their gun rights.

Perhaps we have better DA’s to prosecute crimes and lets all unite around the mental health crisis in our country showing itself in all kinds of evil.

Maybe… we return to “In God We Trust”, bring back prayer, and take a look in the mirror to see if our individual hearts are in tact and build small communities that can offer inclusion and support for all.
