Battle of the Beach: Turtles vs Tourists

Akumal Bay was the first tourist spot in the now mecca of tourism in the Mexican region of Yucatan. This week, a private research center that works in the area has banned access to the beach, stopping tourism, in order to protect the turtle nesting that occurs on this coast.
