August 5th embraces a unique love in the emotion of Burkina Faso, a country established in the core of West Africa. It's their Independence Day.

This day is certainly significant because it reminds everyone about how Burkina Faso became free from being ruled by other countries.

It's a day to celebrate and redirect about their country's story. On August 2, 1984, the country's name was changed from Upper Volta to Burkina Faso ((land of the upright/honest people) through the initiative of the former President Thomas Sankara.
