In 2009 Dave Carrol flew with United Airlines with an expensive guitar, to his horror he saw them throwing the cases around which broke his guitar, the company refuse to compensate for the damage giving him "excuses" and/or ignoring him so he wrote 3 songs as revenge which were very popular as people could relate to his story of broken property because of United Airlines

Huffpost - "within four days of the song going online, the gathering thunderclouds of bad PR caused United Airlines' stock price to suffer a mid-flight stall, and it plunged by 10 per cent, costing shareholders $180 million. Which, incidentally, would have bought Carroll more than 51,000 replacement guitars."

Of course people say a songwriter couldn't affect the stock market but, as the saying goes "it is what it is" and company policy did change due to the bad publicity so maybe he did ?

I'm glad he had fun, got his revenge, and the policy changed so other people aren't forced aside like they don't matter
