Catching a GIANT River Monster! (I've NEVER seen one this BIG!)

I wasn't targeting a river monster but one showed up! Still can't believe how big that fish actually was. In todays video old dad and I tackle some familiar water. We fished a dam discharge. The lakes around me are controlled by dams in order to generate electricity as well as regulate flood waters. In the winter my area of the country gets a lot of rain and often the dams will be spilling. This spilling generates A LOT of current. This current helps to position both bait fish as well as the predatory fish (smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, drum, walleye, catfish, etc) Tackle the current can be hard but dam discharges can be an amazing way to catch some giant winter smallmouth and largemouth.
