Temptation, Biblical Counseling

Satan is known in God's word as "the tempter" Matthew 4:3. And the first sin of mankind was with Satan's temptation of Eve. Satan approached Eve first. Then he spoke to her conscience and doubted the truth of what God had said to Eve. He accused God of lying for selfish motives. He seduced Eve with a suggestion that she could be like God, appealing to her pride. Satan said to Eve, "for God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil" Genesis 3:5.
