Monte & The Pharaoh Present The Unsung Heroes that Made the Stars

David Isley graduated from wrestling camp run by two legends Nelson Royal and Gene Anderson. He was immediately booked on television for the NWA and was a regular there for many years. After awhile Nelson got some of his guys booked for the WWF. When he arrived he was able to work on TV with former friends from the NWA like The Big Bossman. During a trip to Bermuda where he met The Junkyard Dog it was suggested that a call be made to Stan Hansen to book him in Japan. A friend made the call and ultimately 3 of Nelson’s guys were booked on different trips. When Rob Russen and Sal Corrente booked Australia they put him with original Thunderfoot member Gene Ligon since Joel Deaton wasn’t available. He ran a terrific program over there with Paul Orndorff. It was Orndorff who went to Sal and Rob to say he wanted to work with Thunderfoot (Isley) every night. From that time forward the career baby face worked 95% of the time as a heel either with Gene Ligon as The Thunderfoot’s or The Big Cheese stable The Rat Patrol often teaming with The Big Cheese and getting a lot of heat with the fans.

Tommy Angel
Highly prolific enhancement talent who worked for Crockett, Turner & Vince. So prolific he's kind of THE poster boy for "Muscle Hunk Jobber" fetishists. Due to his size and commitment to his physique he was cast in the role often and had work all through the late 80's/early 90's. He did great work! When allowed for offense he had a heck of a flying cross body and was a good tag partner to have. Always seemed credible, never looked sloppy, lost or blown up. 4 solid points."
