The first episode was due to be aired on ITV1 Granada at 5.30pm on Sunday 25 May 2008, but was moved to 6.00pm on Sunday 15 June 2008, and the third series never appeared on Sky History Channel making these episodes the hardest to find and least known. British Archaeology Magazine (published by the CBA) voted Lost Treasures ‘one of the best TV archaeology shows on TV’ even though ITV “don’t do archaeology” and it was actually under ‘News & Current Affairs’. The series opened in Stockton Heath and Chester looking at how the Roman invasion didn’t quite happen as the history books portray it.
