He has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Slow Boring, Persuasion, and numerous other publications. Monty Python's Eric Idle once called his work "hilarious", which is all the validation he needs in this lifetime.

Thomas is an award-winning writer and a one-man think tank. He is a contributing writer at The Atlantic and the author of Losing My Cool & Self-Portrait in Black & White. He has also received fellowships and support from prestigious organisation, including the Guggenheim Foundation, AEI and New America.
