The temptation of Jesus by Satan took place in the wilderness shortly after Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. During this time, Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights.Satan, also known as the devil, attempted to exploit Jesus' vulnerable state by presenting three temptations to Him: to turn stones into bread to satisfy His hunger, to demonstrate His divine power by jumping off the pinnacle of the temple, and to worship Satan in exchange for all the kingdoms of the world. However, Jesus resisted all of these temptations, remaining steadfast in His faith and commitment to God's will. This event is often seen as a significant demonstration of Jesus' divine nature and His victory over evil.
