'We were treated as cannon fodder, without communication, without anything': captured AFU servicemen tells about situation at positions

▫️ The prisoner said that he joined a territorial defence unit to avoid mobilisation and to avoid being sent to a hot spot. The serviceman also told about the lack of combat training and weapons. 'There was no training. Weapons were the simplest, there was no weapons at all.'

▫️ Another serviceman said that he got a draft notice when he came at work. The combat training consisted only of fire training: 'We fired twelve rounds once and that was it, the rest of the time we worked in a depot'.

▫️ POWs noted the high level of logistical support of Russian servicemen: 'Russia has weapons to fight with. The supply is excellent. The uniform is good. Russian troops have night vision devices, UAVs'.

▫️ The AFU servicemen also noted the human treatment on the part of Russian servicemen: 'We were treated as normal people, so I decided to surrendered immediately. The servicemen didn't beat me, just tied my hands, even gave me a cigarette, then took me to the evacuation point with the wounded'. SOURCE
