Video has surfaced of a driver running over a goose on the road as he accelerated to ensure he struck the bird with force and intent to kill or maim it.

The video was uploaded to the Facebook page of an 18 year old man in Louisville, Kentucky which has since been removed. It was claimed that the killing of the goose was allowed via a permit the driver received through the mayor of Louisville, Kentucky on behalf of a business owner in the area.

There is no suggestion that the uploader of the video is the person driving the truck shown in the video, and there is no suggestion the act was planned in advance by the person filming. However, the person uploading the video claimed he worked for Presti Inc., but that he was terminated from his employment prior to the video being uploaded.

The business owner of Presti Inc, Mike Prestigiacomo, posted this on his Facebook Page:

(Name Withheld) does not work for Presti Inc. Presti Inc does not condone cruelty to animals of any kind. We also do not advocate any abuse or harm to other people. These post by (name withheld) are not authorized or sanctioned by Presti Inc.

In an additional post, Mike Prestigiacomo the owner of Presti, Inc Home Improvement said "I spoke to (name withheld) this morning and explained the magnitude of his actions. Not only the damage he has done to the reputation of my company but also the severity of his actions in this video. (He) worked for us for a very short time. His immaturity is why he did not work for us longer. He claims that the mayor of Louisville gave him a permit to kill these geese. I find that hard to believe. We are a small company in Louisville, KY and depend on word of mouth to drive our business. I understand your outrage by his actions and agree with you. These actions were (his) and in no way reflect the attitude of Presti Inc. Please voice your anger and rage at (him) and not my company."

Prestigiacomo also stated: "Hopefully everyone will realize that the person that is to be punished does not work for this company and that is his personal truck in the video."

"As previously stated he does not work for this company and was terminated before these ill actions. Our company does not condone this behavior and it is not tolerated."

The original post has since been removed from the Facebook page.

There is no suggestion that the Facebook uploader of the video is the person driving the truck shown in the video, and there is no suggestion the act was planned in advance by the person filming.
