FBI Portland continues search for more victims after woman escapes cinder block ‘dungeon’

The FBI Portland Field Office issued a request Wednesday asking for the public’s help in identifying possible victims of a violent sexual offender who kidnapped a woman and tortured her in a cinder block “dungeon.” Authorities say Negasi Zuberi, 29, posed as an undercover police officer in order to pick up prostitutes and take them back to his home in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where they were trapped in a makeshift cell in his garage. The victim told police she broke down the door and escaped while Zuberi was out of the house; her captor was arrested in Reno, Nevada several hours later. Law enforcement says they have expanded their investigation to 10 states after linking Zuberi with several other violent sexual crimes.
