Beyond his stand-up comedy, Carlin had a successful career in television and film. He appeared in several movies, including "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" (1989), "Dogma" (1999), and "Cars" (2006), and he hosted the first episode of "Saturday Night Live" in 1975. Carlin also wrote several books, including "Brain Droppings" (1997) and "Napalm & Silly Putty" (2001), which showcased his humorous and thought-provoking written work.
George Carlin's comedy was known for its edginess and social commentary. He challenged societal norms, exposed hypocrisy, and encouraged critical thinking.
