Typography: The expertise and art form of designing with type.

Unsharp Mask : A mask used to sharpen an image.

UV Coating : A glossy coating applied to paper when wet, and then dried using ultraviolet light.

Vector Graphic : Graphics that allow the designer to resize it without any loss of quality to the image because they use vectors to define the image.

Vector type layers : Font layers that are vector files, and thus much cleaner than rasterized type.

Warm : Color schemes made from colors generally thought of as warm; reds, yellows, orange.

Warping : Twisting or bending an element out of its original shape.

Watermark : A semi-translucent image that is impressed over an image or on paper during its manufacture.

Web-Safe Colors : Colors used to display websites.

Weight : Describes the thickness of a line, stroke, or font.

White Point : The definition given to a program for the starting point of the color white.

White Space : The open, negative space in a design.

Width : The measurement specification of any element from side to side.

Workspace : The screen space in a designated program meant for displaying all the tools and designs currently in progress.
