I ran across the Gypsy King fly a number of years ago and started tying it mostly for panfish but have since found it to be a productive fly during the Terrestrial season for Bass as well as panfish. I know it is mostly fished as a Crane fly imitation but it seems to do well as a hopper or cricket here in the Midwest. Keeping the fly basically the same you can tie this in various colors (of foam) to have a number of patterns ready for many fishing conditions. Plus, it is just a fun fly to tie. - - Enjoy
