Wat Rong Thong - Unknown Temple Ruin - Ayutthaya Thailand 2023

Wat Rong Thong is one of hundreds of temple ruins scattered around the former capital of Siam. It’s located north west of the city island. It has been excavated and partially restored by the fine arts department into the condition you see today. The date of when it was originally constructed is unknown as well as who constructed it.

The site is small and just off the highway. Thousands of people pass by it each day but it’s rarely visited. The Chedi is the highlight of the temple and something to see if you are passing by and enjoy seeing these old temple ruins.
