Online certifications are getting more and more popular as a way to either get a job, learn more skills in your current job to get a raise, or to learn skills you need to transition into another career.

Google certificates are some of the best, especially for beginners that want to dip their toe in and figure out if a career is good for them without having to pay thousands for tuition and waste years of their life in order to find out.

At the very least a certificate on your resume or a certification on your linkedin can be a great way for you to signal to your employer that you are proactive and like to stay up to date on the latest changes in technology.

In today’s video I’ll be referring to the google professional certificate training programs that are hosted on coursera

So, are certificates from google worth it? – Well I did an entire video on this, and in short, yes they are a very good value overall.

What happened is google identified that there were certain positions that they were having a lot of trouble filling because there simply weren’t enough candidates that had the necessary skills. Colleges were way too slow to adjust to the evolving job market (big surprise there lol). So google created their own certificate program in order to fill the gaps and create qualified candidates.

So you might be thinking “How can I get a certificate from google?” – Well currently they’re hosted on the website coursera, and you can check out links to the certificates above. Some certificates they offer are free, and some are very inexpensive, a coursera membership (at the time of writing this) is about $39/month.

What certificates can you get through google? – Quite a few actually. Watch the video to find some of the best ones :)

Enjoy!
