Greetings, Brothers, and sisters in Christ! In this video, we will discuss man's fall and its consequences. Firstly the Holy Fathers teach that the disobedience of Adam and Eve led to the darkening of the Eye of the Soul, which resulted in the loss of Union and Communion with God. Another consequence was the loss of man's status as an immortal being, and death was introduced. However, as Orthodox Christians, we are to view Death, Pain, and suffering as allowed by God's mercy for the restoration and salvation of man. Our God is a loving God and desires the Salvation of every Soul. Therefore, we must view the Church as the Holy Fathers Experienced it, as a hospital for the Soul, and Christ as the Great Physician.
