What the DOJ Just Did is OUTRAGEOUS
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NH66z9PXmqw
In a very unusual move, the Department of Justice (DOJ) just ordered Hunter Biden’s ex-business partner Devon Archer to report to prison for a 2018 securities fraud charge, suspiciously just days before he was scheduled to testify before Congress about President Joe Biden’s alleged bribery scheme.
Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-1) tweeted that every member of the DOJ, including Attorney General Merrick Garland, should be called before the House Judiciary Committee for “obstructing a congressional investigation” if Archer doesn’t testify today.
Clearly realizing its shenanigans had been exposed, the DOJ quickly did an about-face, reportedly stating it had no intentions of blocking Archer’s testimony.
So you’ve got a lead witness in a congressional investigation who also happens to be Hunter Biden’s former business partner. He’s already been convicted and sentenced to a year behind bars. But months have gone by, and he’s not been ordered to report to prison. Until, that is, he acknowledges he received a subpoena to testify in the Biden investigation, and then they scramble, working on a weekend (which is practically unheard of for the DOJ) to demand he be locked up immediately. Do you really believe that wasn’t done intentionally to silence Archer?
We were joined live on the broadcast by Representative Mike Johnson (LA-4), who concurred, stating:
“It certainly stinks to high heaven. This is not an isolated incident. As we well know, this DOJ has been weaponized. I mean, there’s a long pattern of abuses. We’ve been detailing that in the House Oversight Committee, the House Judiciary Committee, everywhere we have jurisdiction, and it looks as though, pretty clearly on its face, the issuance of this letter on a Saturday – their recanting basically on Sunday – they were trying to intimidate the witness. It is witness intimidation. It is obstruction of a congressional investigation. And it is very serious business. ”
We’ve said it before, and this just drives the point home even harder: Merrick Garland and the Biden DOJ cannot be trusted to self-regulate anymore. They are willing to dig deep into a bag of political dirty tricks to cover for the Biden family while also targeting and hammering their political enemies – aka conservatives, and even their own, if they dare step away from the party directives. We told you how even a self-described gay Democrat IRS whistleblower bravely came forward to expose corruption within the federal agency.
Thankfully, Archer was able to testify today, and we will be watching closely to see what he has to say.
Today’s full Sekulow broadcast includes more analysis of this unusual weekend activity by the DOJ and how it speaks to the political bias and dangerous bureaucracy infecting our federal government. We continue our discussion with Rep. Johnson, and we are joined by ACLJ Senior Advisor and former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell to discuss this weekend’s drone attacks in Moscow that are being attributed to Ukraine.
