Quick Garden Update July 8, 2023 Potato Blight...

We had a nice quarter inch of rain again this morning; the garden is growing fast! Only bad news is that 3 of the 4 potato varieties are dying--looks like blight. We didn't plant our usual Kennebec this year and that variety is more resistant to blight. However, the red Chieftain potatoes are still doing quite well; Stan has dug a few plants and they have yielded well. We've been eating new potatoes and wax beans all week!

One yellow boy tomato is almost ready to pick! I've eaten a few of the yellow cherry tomatoes so far--you know, the name I always forget...
