Not only would all those US Dollars come back to the United States creating massive inflation, it would make it more difficult for the US to control the global economy. The US dollar is currently the world's reserve currency, which gives the US a lot of power over the global economy. It would reduce the US's power and give the BRICS countries more control over their own economies. The US has been the dominant power in the global order since the end of World War II and If the BRICS countries were to create a gold backed reserve currency, it could be seen as a challenge to the US-led global order.
