Not gonna lie, this one’s a little sad, but the staff there are working super hard. This park will take years to recover from Hurricane Ian. I have walked this beach after the hurricane, but I hadn’t been up in the park. They lost the front gate house and their store. They also lost the gazebo and restrooms down by the beach. They do not have running water or electricity. They are however, renting kayaks, paddle boards and beach chairs from the portable trailer. Also, they do have VIP restroom trailers both at the front and down by the bridge. The trolley only takes you to the bridge now as it’s not safe for it to cross, and you can only go south of the bridge to New Pass. Please make sure you pay to park $8 per vehicle. Without your parking fee they are not going to have the funds to do the job that needs to be done there. It’s an honor system, so please have some honor 🇺🇸
