As part of His Highness Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman’s strategic framework - Vision 2030 - Saudi Arabia has implemented several initiatives and structural reforms to enable economic transformation and is planning to build a massive turtle-shaped smart floating city called Pangeos. Here are some details about the project:

1. Design: Pangeos is named after the supercontinent Pangaea, which existed millions of years ago. The project has been designed by Lazzarini Design Studio, an Italian design firm that utilizes 3D technology to visualize designs. The floating city will be shaped like a turtle, with wings that measure 610 meters (2,000 feet) at its widest point.

2. Size and Capacity: Pangeos will be the largest floating structure ever built. It will be approximately 1,800 feet long. The project aims to provide space for up to 60,000 people. It will feature malls, beach clubs, and other amenities.

3. Location: The designers have proposed Saudi Arabia as the location for the construction of Pangeos. Specifically, a site at King Abdullah Port has been identified as a feasible location for the project. The construction would require dredging approximately one square kilometer of space in the sea.

4. Timeline: The construction of Pangeos is estimated to take eight years. As of now, the project is under development.

5. Energy Sources: Pangeos is expected to be furnished with green energy sources, including waves from the ocean and solar panels on the roof to power the engine.

Overall, Pangeos aims to be a groundbreaking project that combines luxury, sustainability, and innovative design in the form of a massive floating city shaped like a turtle.
