Unwind WITHOUT The Alcohol Crutch

I used to think that the only way to like relax and unwind was to have a drink or lots of drinks, and it was always like the signal, oh, I could use a drink, you know, popping a beer at the end of the day, pouring a glass of scotch, and it's amazing how much I realized that that was a crutch. As opposed to just learning how to actually relax or have emotional regulation or simply just learn how to detach without a crutch.

And now I get to go do stuff like this, get out with my dogs, go on a nice walk, get some exercise, mark the end of the day, not need a crutch. And I'd wanted to stop drinking since I was 19 years old, and I wish that I had. Stopped way earlier, so nearly five years later, I feel like I'm finally getting a grasp of this whole living life thing and unplugging the natural way feels amazing.
