Reel 1, Gen. G.W. Read arrives at 2nd Army Corps hq., Fruges, France. Shows Gen. J.F. O'Ryan and 27th Div. officers at hq., Oudezeele, France. Wagons are loaded with rations at a Saint Laurent supply depot. 107th Pioneers and 102nd Engineers erect Nissen huts. 102nd Field Signal Bn. troops repair communication cables and use signal lamps and Very pistols. 108th Inf. troops load and fire Stokes trench mortars and French 37-mm guns, and spread apron-barbed wire over defensive positions. Reel 2, U.S. and Brit. soldiers practice firing the Vickers machine gun at Camiers. 102nd Engineers construct a communications trench at Belfort, Belgium. Shows 105th Inf. quarters at Beddelen Lerine, Belgium; the rubbled village of Boeschepe, France; 107th Inf. troops making crosses and placing flags on graves in an Abeele, Belgium, cemetery; and Gen.
