NATO leaders gathered at the summit meeting

Leaders of NATO countries came together at the NATO Summit in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
Turkey is represented by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the North Atlantic Council Meeting of NATO at the level of heads of state and government.
Finland is attending a NATO Summit as a full member for the first time. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg congratulated Finnish President Sauli Niinisto for attending his first summit meeting in his speech at the opening of the meeting.
The leaders applauded Finnish President Niinisto upon Stoltenberg's words.
Stoltenberg stated that after Finland, Sweden will soon be a full member of NATO with yesterday's agreement. The leaders welcomed the Secretary General's words with applause.
Stoltenberg stated that the leaders of NATO countries will sign important decisions today, and that support for Ukraine will be increased, which will bring Ukraine closer to the alliance, NATO's new defence plans will be approved and more ambitious defence investment will be agreed upon.
