Minister of Defence of Russian Federation takes part in solemn events dedicated to 70th anniversary of Day of Victory in Great Fatherland Liberation War

▫️ The Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, took part in a solemn meeting dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Day of Victory in the Great Fatherland Liberation War in Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK.

▫️ The head of the Russian military department congratulated the participants of the meeting on the anniversary and made a congratulatory speech on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation.

▫️ The event took place under the leadership of the President of State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un at the Pyongyang Palace of Sports.

▫️ At the end of the meeting, a reception in honour of the military delegation of the Russian Federation was held on behalf of the leader of the DPRK at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Chindalle Residence.

▫️ A military parade was also held on Kim Il Sung Square in the centre of Pyongyang. The parade included soldiers of the Korean People's Army in historical uniforms of the war times, T-34 tanks, vehicles of 1950-1953, parade formations of all kinds and branches of the Korean People's Army troops and a mechanised column with the latest weapons and military hardware
