Russia can win a nuclear war against the United States

Now, I know the idea of any country "winning" a nuclear war sounds crazy. But hear me out. After researching Russia's nuclear capabilities and war plans, it's clear they have a realistic strategy for prevailing in an all-out nuclear conflict with America. Russia has the largest stockpile of nuclear warheads in the world, over 6,000. They also have cutting edge hypersonic missiles that are nearly impossible for the US to intercept. If Russia were to launch a devastating first strike on US military bases and nuclear silos, follow up with their massive arsenal of ICBMs, and use their submarine fleet - the US would have trouble mounting an effective response. I'm not saying a nuclear war would be "good" for Russia - the damage would be catastrophic. I'm just explaining why, based on the facts, Russia is in the strongest position to "win" this type of nightmare scenario.
