APD Arrests Suspect wanted for Armed Robbery/Agg Assault during Traffic Stop

On 7/9/23, Zone 4 officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the location of 1700 Stanton Rd SW. The vehicle did not have a valid registration tag. The officer identified himself to the driver and explained the reason for the traffic stop.

The driver identified himself as Kentatavious Holsey but stated he did not have his driver’s license. Holsey provided his date of birth to the officer and when the officer checked to confirm his identification, he was notified that Kentatavious Holsey had multiple outstanding arrest warrants within the City of Atlanta. Officers detained Holsey to confirm.

Further investigation and confirmation revealed Holsey had outstanding warrants for Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, Criminal Trespass, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony and appeared to be involved in a shooting incident that occurred within the city of Atlanta on June 4th, 2023.

Holsey was arrested and charged with additional traffic offenses, and was transported to the Fulton County Jail without incident. Holsey stated there was a firearm in the center console of his vehicle during his arrest. Investigators impounded the vehicle for processing and obtained search warrants for the vehicle in relation to the last shooting Holsey is suspected to be involved in. The investigation continues.
