In January 2021, Katie Joy did a live stream where she shared the trauma she still feels from almost losing her son several years ago. In the live chat some viewers shared their own similar experiences as a way to connect and who empathy to Katie Joy. Katie then scolded her viewers for relating to those in chat instead of focusing on Katie. Sue was one of those viewers. Katie Joy's son survived and thrives today. Sadly, Sue lost her daughter as a child. Katie then yelled at Sue and others in chat for discussing this loss.
