Written some 35 years ago, this, my first complete song is more relevant today than ever.
Grateful to finally have a fairly decent recording to share.

Remember When

Can you remember when toys and games were all that really mattered
Can you remember when the air was filled with little children’s laughter
I can remember when you’d greet each person walking down the street
Oh, yes, I can remember when

But, look at us now, we are a frightened people living in a frantic world
And, what have we done? Where di we go wrong?

Can you remember when a smile was all it took to make your day
Can you remember when a friend would always help you find your way
I can remember when people were a top priority
Oh, yes, I can remember when

But look at us now we are despairing people living in a violent world
And, what have we done? Where did we go wrong?

Can you remember when the future seemed a bright and glorious thing
Tell me why it is, the future seems to only be a dream
I can remember when I never thought there was a better world
Oh, yes, I can remember when
Yes, I can remember when
