Spore-shroom was offered from July 26, 2023 through August 2, 2023.

Spore-shroom is a member of the Ail-Mint family.
Spore-shroom costs 150 Sun. (-25 Sun at levels 4, 9 and 14. )
Spore-shroom launches a spore. Each spore deals 50 damage. (+5 per level.)
Zombies defeated by a Spore-shroom will spawn a Spore-shroom where it perished - if possible.
When given plant food, Spore-shroom will launch three (3) giant spores at three (3) different zombies. Each of these spores will do 1,800 damage. (+100 damage roughly every 2 levels.)

The Good:
• Spore-shroom can make copies of itself.
• Giant spores can eliminate most zombies - as it does the same damage as a Cherry Bomb.

The Bad:
• Spore-shroom can only target one (1) zombie at a time.
• Spore-shrooms tend to appear on the right side of the lawn.

Commentary:
The ability to clone itself makes this plant potentially powerful. A free plant maker is something one should not dismiss lightly.

The problem with Spore-shroom is that the spores appear only appear if the tile is unoccupied - either by another plant or an obstacle like a tombstone or Dave's Mold Colony.

As a result, Spore-shroom is not as beneficial as one would like.

Bottom Line:
Spore-shroom is one of those plants which has a nice design mechanic. It is just that the execution is not too great. Many times the Spore-shroom will just be a speed bump.

How would we make Spore-shroom better? The spore would float around until finding a spot to spawn. Be it a 3x3 area, a 5x5 area or the entire lawn. Not all spores should spawn, but there should be a more realistic chance of a Spore-shroom spawning.
