The White River is known as one of the best brown trout fisheries in the world. In fact Cotter, Arkansas is known as the "Trout Capital of the USA" as thousands of people a year flock to the various rivers in the area in search of a trophy sized brown trout. The world record brown trout has even been broken twice in Arkansas, although the record is currently held in New Zealand.

In Part 2 of "TROUT CAPITAL OF THE USA" my brother and I chase after world class brown trout with huge streamers. Our second day on the river was much tougher than the first, with the streamer bite virtually shutting off. After fishing for over 4 hours without a bite we decided to break out the nymph rod and try our luck with some rainbow trout. We made the best of the situation and caught multiple rainbow trout to end out our second day from the boat.
