$1,000 a Month Philippines? Starting the Month (1/4)

Supporting a Family on $1,000 a month in a Philippine Province. Is it feasible? For many Filipinos, of course the answer is yes... But for a Westerner it is certainly more difficult. I'm 4 days in and already out $505! Will we make it through the month?!
