INDUSTRIAL REFINED SUGAR MANUFACTURERS LAUD GOV'T FOR IMPOSING 25% DUTY ON IMPORTED REFINED SUGAR

Local sugar manufacturing companies have lauded Government for imposing a 25% duty on imported industrial refined sugar.
According to Kinyara Sugar the largest local manufacturer, Uganda has the capacity to satisfy the annual demand which currently stands at about 100.000 Metric tons per year.
