Rick Went to Cuba...And HATED It!

I live in the U.S. -- my Maverick News co-host Rick Walker lives in #Canada. On this episode we compare notes on our travels to each other's countries, and how difficult it is for Americans and Canadian citizens to #travel across each other's borders, compared to how easy it is to travel to #Mexico or even #Cuba.

Rick has traveled back and forth to Cuba several times, and I admit I'm rather envious of his freedom as a Canadian to do what I cannot do as an American.

Unlike U.S. citizens, Canada and U.K. citizens can travel to Cuba without restrictions.

The U.S. government state department placed an #embargo on trade between Cuba and the United States of America in 1962. Until this day, it makes travel to Cuba harder than you might think, but not impossible.

(Note: 2024 presidential candidate #RFKJr has pledged to lift the embargo against Cuba on day one of his presidency if elected.)
