Ukrainian troops train with US-supplied weapons in Donetsk

Ukrainian marines train to use US-provided weapons during drills in Donetsk region.

The young soldiers were taught by 52-year-old instructor who uses the call sign ‘Diadia’ (Ukrainian ‘Uncle’). He has already mastered the weapons in the unit he serves.

‘Diadia’ decided to join the military after his son went to fight on February 24th, the day Russia started its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
