Janet Reno America's First Woman Attorney General Dies At Age 78. Janet Reno, Born In Miami-Dade County, Florida On July, 21, 1938 , Attended Cornell University, And Graduated With A Degree In Chemistry. After Which She Applied And Graduated From Harvard Law School In 1963. She Went On To Become Florida's First Woman State Attorney (1978-1993). She Was Elected By Then President Clinton To Become The First Woman Attorney General, Which She Served From (1993-2001). She Was Diagnosed While In Office And Died From Parkinson's Disease On November, 07, 2016.
