The Unirea salt mine in Slanic Prahova is a mix between the hand of man and nature’s wonders. they say! The largest salt mine in Romania and in Europe and it was transformed into a health centre for the treatment of pulmonary diseases in saline air, at 210 meters deep. It is also open for tourists that just want to see how the salt was extracted and to admire the largest chamber of the saline, which is 55 meters high. The access to the Unirea salt mine is made with minibuses since the elevator is broken.

In the afternoon, after the salt mine, you will have the opportunity to walk in a lunar landscape, visiting Romania's muddy volcanoes. Before arriving there you will have a break for lunch in a recommended restaurant. After enjoying your lunch it is time to see the biggest Muddy volcanoes in Romania. Weird no mention of giants. I don't wonder why. And no Giants were hurt in the making of this film.
