Chillin’ with the crew, just hanging loose, convening on vacation
A troubled youth with nothing to do, hopped up on frustration
Trying booze and writing some tunes in hopes of getting wasted
Always knew we’d probably lose, guilty by association

In the wrong place, timing didn’t matter, all of us were destined to fail
In the rat race, dreams were getting shattered, that’s when I decided to bail
Even with change, still can’t climb the ladder, stuck in all the little details
Those who stayed ended up as hagglers, trading in their hope to assail

Hear all the news, they’re skewing the truth, it’s time to change the station
Too many clues...the evidence proves we’re a divided nation
We’re so confused and we have to choose...we’re at the point of breaking
Drug use, probably lose...guilty by association

In the wrong place, timing doesn’t matter, all of us are destined to fail

Offenders are on thin ice, many are on probation
