Delray Beach Police announced that the human remains discovered last week in three suitcases along the Delray Intracoastal in southeast Florida are those of a middle-age white or Hispanic woman with brown hair, floral clothing, and stood approximately 5 feet, 4 inches tall. The police said they discovered the first suitcase after responding to a call reporting a suspicious item floating in the water along the waves of the beach. After discovering the remains in the first suitcase, they found two more suitcases, also containing human remains. According to local reports, the woman's remains were taken to the medical examiner's office to be further examined and identified. Meanwhile, Florida authorities have opened up an official homicide investigation.
