The fact that there is a threshold for the Size of the Star and the beginning of Fusion would indicate that with enough data, you would realize that the Iron Core is the Dictating Fact regarding "Fusion"

To call the process of an Iron Ball to start glowing "fusion" is a misconception of reality

In reality, the Iron Core is capable of burning bright at any size, though size and speed are a factor in this equation

So, small Iron Ball moving VERY FAST will burn as hot or as bright as a much larger Iron Ball that is moving slower

Motion of Matter = Energy

Now - looking at the contents of the cosmos itself, you will quickly realize that the Universe is a Large Sack Of Iron Balls

Essentially everything compresses hard enough to convert to Iron, once this formation has occurred; there is a threshold of the size and speed of the Iron Ball to Decay Hard - or Shine

The Iron Ball that starts to Decay Harder because of its size and speed is a star - The Star Starts to Shine - this is the star large enough in size and speed that it can decay fast enough for its electromagnetic spectrum, on an elemental level, to decay fast enough, that the energy that it releases, is the exact reverse of Fusion - it is Decay, but the Energies are the SAME!

But, just because the Iron Core is Large does not mean that it has to Decay Hard - You could imagine a MASSIVE IRON CORE, But if it is not moving through anything, it will not shine, the energy will be contained within itself and with its self containment and no decay, the Core will Generate Extra Energy!

You can increase this Energy Production by compressing Matter

Starting with the Compression of Helium3 into a Crystallized Core, you can create a Fusion Battery - this is Fusion, but it is reverse fusion. You are getting the energy you put into it plus an extra 10% Energy Generation within the Cycle, so if you extend the cycle over a long time, you can harness this extra energy for a very long time!

The lower in Elemental Weight you get the more compact and more energy for the same amount of time you can extract from the process

But - more Energy will be required to be put into the system to create the heavier crystal - the limits of technology to compress matter beyond a certain point become impractical - at which point manipulating nature to compress what is required is achieved in the very structure of the Universe itself!!!

Matter generating its own Energy - if that wasn't a form of Consciousness - I don't know what is...

The point is Fusion Batteries are not only Possible - but the very structure of the Universe is Fusion itself

To compress the Helium3 you use Magnetic Waves and Lasers and compress that Matter Hard Enough and Hot Enough to Fuse Into A Crystal !!!

As you compress the Helium3 into a Crystal, the Poles within align from pressurization, and the lasers supply the heat to fuse the Helium Into a Crystal Battery - Dark Crystal the Best! Dark Crystal is Iron Crystal

Because of the orientation of the Poles - these Fusion Batteries will supply steady constant energy based on the mass and rate of decay of the crystal - if this is choked, an exact constant charge will be produced that can last indefinitely based on the original structure and quality of the cycle - but needless to say for a very long time

The Fusion Battery Lasts about forever - or for a long time - about forever if Gold

This process can be scaled up to heavier elements beyond Helium, but not by much - for that harvesting Dark Crystals is the Best Option!

That's where you get your Crystallization

That's how you trap the fusion process!

And create the Fusion Battery!!!
