What Can You Make From a Thrift Store Jacket? Upcycle It Into Fashionable, Colorful Fun Projects.

While exploring my favorite thrift stores, this woman's jacket caught my eye because of the fabric's embossed texture and vibrant colors. This jacket inspired me to create my next project, upcycling the fabric into cross-body cell phone bags.

As pictured, two cell phone bags are finished with enough fabric left to make a couple more bags. The fabric has an abstract theme, so each bag has different predominant colors to match your outfit.

I love to sew. As far back as 6 years old, I took a sewing class and made a pillow sham for my pajamas. During my Jr. and Sr. school years, I made many outfits. I still remember how exciting it was to go to the fabric stores and look at the stacked up bolts of gorgeous fabrics.

Currently, I'm a retired real estate agent who serviced the city of Mesquite NV, and live here full time. It's time to dig out those hobbies that were put on hold.

If you love to sew and want to explore the Upcycle & Refashion world with me, join my channel for more project ideas.
