There is a bipartisan bill for the "War on Drugs" that targets private messaging apps by banning end-to-end, E2E encryption which is PROTECTED BY THE 1ST AMENDMENT

"They're" saying it's necessary for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) so "they" can effectively enforce the drug policies, the OBVIOUS concerns are that it would kill private messaging for everyone because "they" will always be SPYING ON EVERYONE

If the media apps don't "comply" with the "requirement" of not only being the people spying on everyone's messages but also notifying the DEA and giving them all the information they ask for and instead letting people have PRIVACY then they will be held accountable as well, the wording is in the bill is literally “deliberately blinded (themselves)”
