Man of Sorrows Hymn / Hallelujah What a Savior!

This is what happens when you take and Old Hymn, and mush it with new folk music, and then record it in your bathroom. Hope it bless' ya!

This is my own version of Hallelujah, What a Saviour, though the song lyrics themselves were originally written by Philip Bliss. I hope this Indie Folk Version of the song is a blessing.

“It is said that the word ‘Hallelujah’ is the same in all languages. It seems as though God had prepared it for the great jubilee of heaven, when all His children shall have been gathered home to sing ‘Hallelujah to the Lamb!’"(Sankey, My Life and Sacred Songs).

“Man of sorrows,” wondrous name
For the Son of God, who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim!
Hallelujah! What a Saviour!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood;
Sealed my pardon with His blood:
Hallelujah! What a Saviour!

Guilty, vile, and helpless, we:
Spotless Lamb of God was He:
‘Full atonement’-can it be?
Hallelujah! What a Saviour!

‘Lifted up’ was He to die,
‘It is finished!’ was His cry;
Now in heaven exalted high:
Hallelujah! What a Saviour!

When He comes, our glorious King,
All His ransomed home to bring,
Then anew this song we’ll sing:
Hallelujah! What a Saviour!
