The National Citizens Inquiry testimony of Samantha Lamb, a chief accountant at a Saskatchewan credit union. An old spinal injury had caused her severe discomfort for many years until one day she could barely walk or do household chores. Her doctor said she needed surgery right away, but covid arrived, and everything shut down.
In her testimony, she describes waiting 2 1/2 years for surgery to repair her lower back degeneration and it was only after she contacted her MLA that they were able to schedule the surgery within a month.
Samantha also tells of her struggles with the (CPP) Canadian Pension Plan disability claim. How she had to appeal and then pay for her own health assessment when the CPP reversed their decision. She waited another 5 1/2 months for the much needed rehabilitation, and the staff had to sneak her in through a back because of her vaccine status.
Samantha suffered years of pain and financial struggles waiting for surgery in Canada. She believes restricting access to surgery, which is performed in an already sterile environment, was wrong. Pandemic or not, restrictions to much needed surgical procedures should never be restricted.

The covid restrictions and mandates hurt many Canadians. Please listen to their stories.
