Huge Coronal Hole Snakes Across Our Sun: Solar Storm Forecast 01-21-2018

The Sun has been teasing us for several days we anxiously wait for some fast solar wind to hit Earth. A huge snaking coronal hole has rotated into the Earth-strike zone, but we have only gotten a few puffs of fast wind while we skirt the edge of the fast flow. Aurora photographers are urged to stay ready, its still coming! Amateur radio operators are hanging on to marginal radio propagation for the next few days, but this will degrade to poor conditions soon with our spotless Sun. At least GPS is expected to enjoy conditions by the end of this week!
